Since 2019, Joe has worked as a research coordinator at the Stanford University Polarization and Social Change Lab where he has assisted with and collaborated on a number of projects related to political polarization, political violence, and social movements. He studies how identities are created, how these identities shape socio-political preferences and behaviors, and the role identity plays in driving social and economic inequality and political division. Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019, earning a B.S. with honors in Psychology. He plans to continue his research as a first year PhD student this fall.
