Joe is a first-year sociology PhD student. He previously worked as a research coordinator and lab manager for the Polarization and Social Change Lab for several years. Joe's research interests include political polarization, political violence, social movements, race, and economic inequality. After completing high school outside of Philadelphia, Joe served as a City Year Americorps member in Milwaukee for a year before beginning his bachelor's degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019, earning a B.S. with honors in Psychology. In his free time, Joe enjoys rock climbing, playing music, spending time in nature, and long motorcycle trips.
