Shane Muldowney is a Research Coordinator at the Polarization and Social Change Lab. He graduated from UCLA in 2023, where he earned a B.A. with highest honors in Psychology. His research interests focus on the psychological dynamics that underlie and exacerbate political polarization, cross-partisan animus, and ideological conflict in the United States. In particular, he is interested in designing and testing interventions aimed at facilitating more productive communication across ideological divides. In his free time, Shane enjoys lacing up his hiking shoes, hitting the trails, and getting lost in nature.
