Siwar is finishing her PhD in social psychology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Groningen. She has been awarded the Marie Curie fellowship to pursue her postdoctoral research at Stanford University. Siwar studies collective action, emotions, intergroup relations, and intergroup conflicts. Her dissertation examines why and when historically disadvantaged groups are (de)motivated to collaborate with advantaged group members to promote social change. In her free time Siwar enjoys hiking, traveling, watching documentaries, and spending time with family and friends.
