Samy is a Ph.D. candidate in the Emmett Interdisciplinary Program in Environment and Resources (E-IPER), has an M.S. in Applied Economics, and has a B.S.-M.S. in Environmental Science. Samy researches climate change public opinion, the drivers of political activism, and how policymakers respond to both public opinion information and political activism. In the wild, Samy is often found hiking, board gaming, and cooking plant-based food with her friends.
