CV
Catherine graduated from the University of Michigan in 2020 with a B.S. in psychology and environmental science. Her research investigates the affective and cognitive components driving political polarization. In particular, she is interested in two main themes: (a) how group membership can alter humility, empathy, and tolerance toward opposing views, and (b) the effects of misperceiving characteristics of both in-group and out-group members. Outside of research, she enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, playing piano, and sampling baked goods at cute coffee shops.
